Rosebank Community Preschool

Our preschool is a small community-based service offering an educational, creative, home-like learning experience operating Monday to Wednesday, 9 am to 3 pm during school terms. We cater for children aged 2 – 6 years, and the activities provided are kept as home-like as possible, recognising that this is often a child’s first experience away from home and parents.

We acknowledge that children are naturally curious about their environment and are active explorers. At our preschool, children engage in an environment rich in opportunities for play, exploration and social learning. These experiences support them in developing everyday skills and values needed for the social world around them.

We encourage children to act as initiators, investigators, explorers, problem solvers and creators. Our program fosters self-esteem, emotional wellbeing and communication to develop a community of cooperation, caring and a lifetime of yearning for knowledge.

Learning involves young children’s families, environment and culture and occurs best when set in the fabric of relationships. Our highly experienced and qualified staff offer a stimulating and educational Preschool program based on each child’s needs, strengths and interests. We work in partnership with families to form a learning community with shared goals.

We support the play-based Early Years Learning Framework and recognise that children’s lives are characterised by belonging, being and becoming. The preschool complies with the National Quality Framework and has received an overall rating of “Meeting National Quality Standard.”
